  Bocce Annual Meeting

  We’re looking forward to seeing you at our Annual Bocce Club Meeting on Sunday, November 1st. Please note that this is a members-only event; no guests, please.

  Annual Meeting Details

  Date: Sunday, November 1st
  Location: Fireside Room
  Doors Open: 5:00 PM
  Cost: $25 per member

  Menu: Pizza from Rocco’s (gluten free available), green salad, dessert, sparkling water, sodas, and coffee

  BYOB: To help keep the cost of our Annual Meeting reasonable, we will not be serving alcohol. You are welcome to bring your favorite alcoholic beverage. We’ll provide wine glasses and bottle openers.

  Seating & Registration

  • Tables accommodate 8 people. If you plan to sit with friends or your bocce team, please designate one person as your table host.

  • The table host may register everyone at the table, or individuals may register themselves separately. If registering individually, please be sure to include your table host’s name so we can seat your group together.

  Contra Costa Food Bank Drive

  This year, we’re changing the way we hold our annual food drive. The Rossmoor Bocce Club is partnering with the Rossmoor Rotary Club to make donating even easier.

  While our Annual Meeting is for Bocce Club members only, the Food Drive is open to ALL Rossmoor residents. Please help us spread the word to your friends and neighbors throughout Rossmoor!

  Our primary food collection will take place the morning of our Annual Meeting:

  Sunday, November 1
  9:00 AM–1:00 PM
  Event Center Parking Lot

  Simply drive by and drop off your nonperishable food donations. Please, no glass containers.

  Prefer to Donate Online?

  • We’ve also created a Virtual Food Drive for anyone who would prefer to make a monetary donation online. It’s an easy and convenient way to support the Contra Costa Food Bank even if you can’t make it to the food drop-off.

  • Every contribution, whether food or a monetary donation, helps provide much-needed food to our neighbors in Contra Costa County.

  We’re Looking to Borrow a Van

  • We are also looking to borrow a van that can hold Contra Costa Food Bank collection barrels. We would need the van for a few days following the food drive until the Food Bank can pick up the donations.

  Holiday Food Suggestions

  • Mashed potato flakes

  • Powdered gravy mix

  • Canned sweet potatoes

  • Canned green beans

  • Canned pumpkin

  • Cream of mushroom soup

  • Cranberry sauce

  • Stuffing mix

  • Dry pinto beans

  • Masa

  • Cornbread mix

  • Cornhusks

  • Flour

  • Cooking oil

  • Ground cinnamon

  • Chicken stock

  • Boxed scalloped potatoes

  Food Needed Year-Round

  • Nut butters, including peanut and almond

  • Jam, jelly, and honey

  • Canned tuna and chicken in water

  • Boxed macaroni and cheese

  • Shelf-stable milk

  • Applesauce

  • Dry or canned beans and lentils

  • Rice

  • Whole-grain cereals and crackers

  • Oats, oatmeal, and farina

  • Whole-wheat or whole-grain pasta

  • Low-sodium canned soups, vegetables, and tomato products

  • Canned fruit packed in juice

  • 100% fruit juice in cartons or small boxes

  • Nonperishable, ready-to-eat meals such as chili, ravioli, and canned meats
